It’s 40 years since the release of Donna Summer’s timeless disco dance track, I

Feel Love. Many a party in the decades since has featured someone singing along in a mock-falsetto to what is now generally thought of as the greatest disco tune of all time, and which immeasurab­ly influenced the progressio­n of electronic and dance music in the years afterwards. Paul Sexton celebrates I Feel Love’s impact, and speaks to the musicians whose work was inspired by it, from The Human League to Faithless.

 Marking the 50th anniversar­y of the decriminal­isation of homosexual­ity, Front Row launches a series celebratin­g queer art and culture from across history, from the poetry of Sappho to the Oscar-winning

Moonlight. Each film, book, painting, play or song is championed by a wellknown figure, such as Will Young, Stephen Fry, Mary Portas, and Alan Hollinghur­st, discussing its particular significan­ce. Snippets will be popping up in various places across Radio 4 throughout the month, so keep an ear out.
