Choppy waters

HMS Queen Elizabeth yesterday marked a new milestone as the first aircraft – a pair of Merlin helicopters from 820 Naval Air Squadron – touched down on its four-acre flight deck. The newly launched 65,000 ton aircraft carrier will eventually be capable of operating up to 36 F-35 Lightning II jets and 14 helicopters.
