These pictures are among those recognised in the 2017 Peregrine Trophy awards for Navy photographers. Petty Officer (Phot) Si Ethel received the top award for this shot of two servicemen training in Norway featuring the Northern Lights. Left, highly commended was his shot of a Merlin Mk3 helicopter and HMS Scimitar in the seas off Gibraltar.
