Clip drones’ wings

SIR – With the continuing dangerous use of drones (report, July 3) and laser pens, is it not time a law was enacted to compel traders to obtain a certified identity of the purchaser before sale?

SIR – Having recently visited the Security and Counter-terrorism Expo, I am surprised that Gatwick is having problems with drones.

There seem to be many systems able to track them and their operators – and, in at least one case, to bring them to a complete halt by interfering with their guidance system.
