Sting in the tail

SIR – Jacqueline Mccrindle (Letters, July 4) gives me another reason to dislike grey squirrels. Dandelions, which they eat, provide a wonderful supply of nectar and pollen for honeybees at the time they need it most, as they build up their numbers after the winter. Large colonies enable a good harvest of local honey. John Canning
