Anton Lienert-brown v Jonathan Davies

Davies’ first Test performance, comprising 85 running metres, was eye-catching. However, his display in the second was just as important. Davies was unselfish when the Lions were in possession, hitting decoy lines and trucking through the gain-line. The 29-year-old works hard off the ball, pressing up to cut off wide passes – effectively sprinting shuttles to force opponents back inside. For that reason, Lienert-brown was fairly quiet last weekend. But he is a fine decision-maker who always seems very comfortable on the ball and creates space for others.
