Osborne’s legacy

SIR – “Six-jobs” George Osborne seems to be enjoying sniping from the sidelines in the Evening Standard.

Meanwhile, reports begin to roll in of the mess unravelling for Britain as millions of uninformed or ill-informed people over the age of 55 dip into their pensions to release money.

I hope Mr Osborne will turn his editorial fire on the person who introduced the new pension draw-down rules without putting in place sufficient safeguards. Amanda Baker
