Three arrests over Henley Regatta rape

♦ Three men were arrested yesterday on suspicion of raping a woman after the Henley Regatta.

The suspects were detained hours after CCTV images of three people were released by detectives as they continued to investigat­e the attack.

The men, aged 23, 24 and 26, are from Bedford and Loughborou­gh. They were interviewe­d and released pending further inquiries.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was attacked after she left the regatta with a group of people she met there in the early hours of July 2. Det Insp Ali Driver, of Thames Valley Police, said: “The victim is being supported by specially-trained officers.”
