China technology deals ‘put data at risk’

The Daily Telegraph - - News -

♦the personal data of Britons could be trawled by Beijing’s spies as the UK sells off sensitive, hi-tech industry to Chinese investment, a security think tank has warned.

Chinese investors have sunk more than £29billion into the UK since 2005, and a report released today by the Henry Jackson Society, says that “Chinese ownership, control or access of a part of the UK’S digital infrastructure would make access undetectable and unpreventable”.

Fears over security risks were highlighted last year when Theresa May ordered a review.
