Judge expels juror who fell for policeman

-

A JUROR in the long-running trial of an alleged terror cell has been discharged after asking whether an officer in the case was single.

The four-month-long Old Bailey trial was halted as Mr Justice Globe was about to finish summing up and send the jury to consider a verdict.

He learnt a female juror, who cannot be identified, had inquired about a police officer she found attractive and had to discharge her.

Defendants Naweed Ali, 29, Khobaib Hussain, 25, both of Sparkhill in Birmingham, Mohibur Rahman, 32, and Tahir Aziz, 38, of Stokeon-trent deny preparing Lee Rigby-style terrorist attacks.
