Readers tickled pink by the latest fashion trend
SIR – Reading about the new fashion for men to wear pink shoes (report, July 17), I was amazed to realise that my husband is now a trendsetter as he has been wearing both pink and yellow shoes for many years.
Just recently we attended a family wedding and he teamed his classic grey suit with a pink shirt and matching pink shoes. He managed to look both smart and trendy, so he really must be ahead of the game. I should point out that, far from being a youngster, he will be retiring next year. He is rather bemused to find that he will now be a fashion star, and I imagine he will be on the lookout for shoes in a different colour, as he will still want to stand out from the crowd.
