Crew on board HMS Queen Elizabeth, as the Royal Navy’s new aircraft carrier set sail from Lossiemouth for the latest in a series of sea trials. Addressing the crew on his first visit aboard, Sir Michael Fallon, the Defence Secretary, said armchair critics of Britain’s most powerful warship needed to “shut up for a while”, as he hailed the return of “big decks and fast jets”.
