PZ Cussons posts 5pc rise in profits

PZ Cussons, the maker of Imperial Leather soap, hailed a “credible performance” after recording a 5pc lift in profits to £88m for the year to May 31, despite the significant currency devaluation in Nigeria, its biggest market. The company said that consumer confidence remained fragile across its markets but it was on track to meet City forecasts for the year ahead.
