As a rabble-rousing teenager, wrestler turned actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was arrested several times before turning his life around. In this HBO documentary, which has a whiff of reality romp about it, he visits a Miami boot camp that gives imprisoned young offenders a chance at a fresh start by reducing sentences in exchange for participation. “You don’t feel like it right now, but you’re lucky. You’re lucky you got another shot. Don’t [mess] this thing up,” Johnson tells them, as they begin a 16-week programme, in which drill sergeants push the inmates to their limits. PS
