Physics teacher banned after sex with pupil aboard plane

- By Daily Telegraph Reporter

A PHYSICS teacher who had sex with a pupil in the lavatory of a plane was caught after a second pupil tried to blackmail her, a tribunal heard.

Eleanor Wilson, 28, was flying back from a school visit to the CERN project in Geneva when she starting flirting with a boy at the back of the plane, a panel heard.

The boy joined her in the lavatory for sex and oral intercourse without protection, it was heard.

The academy teacher, from South Glos, continued the relationship upon their return, texting and meeting for drinks, despite rumours circulating at school.

The relationship came to light seven months later when another pupil emailed Wilson saying he would reveal the tryst – unless she had sex with him.

Police and the school became involved and Wilson was dismissed in May 2016 after denying to the head that she had met the boy and had sex.

She appeared before a professional conduct panel earlier this month where she was found guilty of unacceptable professional conduct and bringing the profession into disrepute. She was banned from teaching.

Wilson was found guilty of all but two of the allegations against her.

The panel concluded that while she had allowed pupils to drink alcohol and had herself consumed alcohol on the trip, this had not been sexually motivated. The panel gave her a prohibition order banning her from teaching indefinitely and ordered that she could never apply to teach again.
