Burglars’ £400,000 haul as John Terry went skiing

John Terry’s home was robbed of an “eye watering” £400,000 worth of jewellery and designer goods after he posted a picture online of himself taking a skiing holiday, it has emerged.

The former England football captain’s £5million home was broken in to in February as he posed for pictures on the slopes, revealing to his 3.4million Instagram followers that he was having a “great few days away”.

A gang of burglars, who are due to be sentenced today, took advantage, strolling around the property in Oxshott, Surrey, with axes and spending hours helping themselves to jewellery, designer handbags and rare Harry Potter books.
