National Express drives profit up

Transport operator National Express posted a 19pc rise in pre-tax profit for the first half of 2017, driven by a strong performance in North America, Spain and Morocco, but said demand in the UK for its coaches declined due to recent terrorist attacks and that it expects subdued demand for the rest of the year.
