The future of Airbus’s A380 super jumbo looks bleak after the company said it was cutting production of the giant airliner. Reporting half-year figures, Airbus said deliveries of the A380 would be reduced to eight in 2019, from 15 this year and 12 in 2018. Airbus reported flat group sales at €28.7 bn (£25.5 bn), with net profit down 15pc at €1.5 bn.
