Grenfell: Independent review into fire safety
An independent review into building regulations and fire safety has been announced after the Grenfell Tower disaster.
The Department for Communities and Local Government said Grenfell “raised serious questions” about fire safety, especially over flammable cladding on tower blocks. The review is to be led by Dame Judith Hackitt and will report to Sajid Javid, the Communities Secretary, and Amber Rudd, the Home Secretary, to “make any necessary improvements”.
