Essentra ‘stabilising’ despite falling profits

Struggling packaging and filter producer Essentra said it was now beginning to stabilise after a “period of turbulence”, which it said had been caused by “internal” failings. The company has issued a string of profit warnings in the last year and said in its recent half, profits fell 49pc year on year.
