Only health is valued more than happiness
More should be done to promote health and well-being rather than worrying excessively about wages and careers, a governmental adviser on happiness has said.
Professor Paul Dolan, of the London School of Economics, has conducted research to find out what people would sacrifice for happiness.
He found that people valued happiness above jobs, education and even their families. Health was the sole thing people would not give up for more happiness.
The research was published in The Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organisation.
