Fire hits Europe’s largest oil plant

Europe’s largest oil refinery was forced to close yesterday following a fire in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam. The fire was brought under control in the early hours of yesterday morning. A spokesman for Anglo-dutch company Shell, which runs the refinery, said some parts could remain inactive for up to a day.
