Intertek soars as safety prioritised

Shares in Intertek hit record highs after it reported better-thanexpected results for the first half of 2017, with revenue jumping 14pc. André Lacroix, its chief executive, says firms are increasingly concerned about the safety of their products as the internet widens the market and consumers demand more.
