Remainers plan to fly EU flag at The Proms
The Proms has found itself once again at the centre of a Brexit row.
Remain campaigners have been admonished for “disrupting” the event after being ordered to remove several EU flags they had draped over the barrier separating the audience from the orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall.
But they defiantly insist they will once again attempt to transform the Last Night of the
Proms into a sea of EU flags.
Remainers plan to hand out thousands of blue EU flags to concert goers.
Anti-brexit campaigner Peter Cook, a Kent-based business consultant, told the Evening Standard:
“Traditionally there is flagwaving at the last night and I don’t see why we should do any different.”
