Britons deny stag party gang rape in Singapore
Three British men went on trial in Singapore yesterday accused of gang-raping a 23-year-old woman while on a stag party in the city-state.
Beauticians Khong Tam Thanh, 22, and Vu Thai Son, 24, and unemployed Le Michael, 24, face up to 20 years in jail and a caning if convicted of assaulting the Malaysian woman while she was drunk and unconscious. All three deny the allegations.
They met the woman in a nightspot and she agreed to have sex with one of their friends, a British citizen identified as Richard Ahn, who took her to his hotel room.
After the pair had sex, Khong, Le and Vu took turns to enter the room and raped the woman, the court was told. The three face one count each of rape. Khong and Vu face additional charges of sexual assault.
