Harrods shoplifter let off for her ‘considerable talents’
A model who tried to steal £1,000 worth of designer goods from Harrods was let off with a conditional discharge after a magistrate said she was a woman of “considerable talents”.
Natalia Sikorska, 28, attempted to make off with a Markus Lupfer jacket, a pair of Claudie Pierlot shoes, a Pinko handbag and a silver knife on July 5.
She was stopped before she left the Knightsbridge store with the £959.59 haul. The Polish model and actor is studying business management and economics at the University of Westminster. After she admitted theft, Grant Mccrostie, the Westminster magistrate, gave her a conditional discharge for 12 months and said: “You are a newcomer to this county, you are a student with a place at university.
“You are obviously a woman of considerable talents, you are obviously intelligent. Because of the fact that you pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity and you do have a potentially bright future, we will deal with this more leniently than we should have.” Sikorska, also told to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge, replied: “Thank you so much.”
