Scaramucci planned video network from White House
ANTHONY SCARAMUCCI had plans to launch a video network from the White House entitled The President Donald J. Trump Show before he was ousted as communications director, according to an internal memo.
“The Mooch”, whose 10-day tenure at the White House came to a crashing halt on Monday, drew up detailed proposals for how he wanted the communications team to work, with suggestions including offering a round of golf with the president in an online lottery, in a bid to “humanise” him. “People are fascinated by the lives of their presidents and the operation of the White House,” he wrote in his memo, published by Mike Cernovich, a conservative blogger.
“Comms should produce video content that constructively operates as ‘The President Donald J. Trump Show’. Obama scratched the surface of this. POTUS should take it to the next level.”
Mr Scaramucci, 53, a Wall Street financier and television pundit before he was drafted into the White House, said he wanted to cultivate better relations with journalists. He recommended introducing a special box for journalists to post suggestions and grievances, and not letting staff leave the office until every email and text from journalists have been answered.
