Afghan robotics girl’s father dies after attack

The father of Afghanistan’s all-girl robotics team – whose fight to enter a competition in Washington DC made world headlines – has died from injuries sustained in the suicide assault on a mosque in Herat on Tuesday.

Asif Qaderian was the father of Fatemah Qaderian, 14, who helped her team win a silver medal in the contest.
