Brazil premier survives corruption case vote

Brazil’s lower house of congress has rejected a corruption charge against its president for allegedly taking bribes, saving him from a possible career-ending supreme court trial.

Michel Temer won just enough ballots to keep the opposition from being able to move the corruption case forward to the top court.
