Evans’s son shows us how to dress for an occasion
It’s so hard to get kids to smarten up these days that I was mightily impressed by radio presenter Chris Evans’s son, Eli, who wore a green frock to the premier of Gangsta Granny, the West End stage adaptation of the David Walliams novel.
The five-yearold’s elegant sense of occasion fairly showed up his mother who could only muster double denim, although his brother Noah, 8, deserves an honourable mention for sporting a fitted jacket and at a natty trilby.
But as it was, all eyes were on Eli. Was his avante garde outfit an ironic act of homage to Walliams’s character, The Boy in the Dress? Was he expressing his feminine side? Or just channelling Eddie Izzard?
Who knows? Who cares? He looked lovely. End of.
