DFS buys Sofology for £25m
DFS, the UK’S largest furniture retailer, has snapped up its smaller rival Sofology in a £25m deal.
The firm said the takeover would add a “strong, distinctive brand and business” to
its portfolio. In June DFS warned it had been hit by a drop in customer orders, and yesterday Ian Filby, its chief executive, said the deal would help it broaden its appeal.
DFS shares rose 1.8pc to 223.75p.
