Avon head leaves after pressure

Sheri Mccoy, the chief executive of cosmetics group Avon, is stepping down from the post following renewed pressure from activist investor Barington Capital. Barington has called for Ms Mccoy’s resignation since 2015, but earlier this year reiterated its concerns after Avon reported a surprise loss in its quarter to March.
