Chinese demand helps Ferrexpo

Profits jumped 50pc at Ferrexpo in the first half of the year to $262m (£200m), as the Ukrainebased iron ore miner hailed an “excellent set of results”. The FTSE 250 company has benefited from strong demand in China for its premium iron ore pellets, used in steel production. Revenue surged 30pc to $591m.
