Nudist protest backfires as membership soars
A protest by South Korean villagers against a nudist club backfired after media coverage caused membership to soar, with 66 people joining the group in the past week alone.
Locals placed banners in protest at a private naturist club in Jecheon, but the resulting press interest only served to advertise its existence. One disgruntled local told The Korea Times: “Whenever I go to pick herbs or hike, I can see the nudists at their mansion. I can’t just close my eyes, can I?”
