Woods murder scene is ‘a known drugs haunt’

The woods where an 83-year-old man was stabbed to death as he walked his two dogs is a favourite haunt of drug dealers, residents of East Harling, Norfolk, have claimed.

The victim’s body was found in woods with multiple stab wounds to the head and neck. Police are still searching for the killer and have said they are unsure of the motive behind the “brutal” attack.

Police described the victim, who has not been named, as a married fatherof-two who was “well liked” in his community. The alarm was raised when he was found by another walker at 10.45am on Saturday.
