A test of patients
SIR – Last week a friend was discharged from an NHS hospital and asked to wait in the car park while a package of medicines was prepared for him to take home. Three hours later, it was ready. This is far from the first time that I have been told of such delays.
If hospitals cannot get their act together, why can’t discharged patients be given a prescription to take to a pharmacy near their home? Ralph Hill
