Couple see their home burgled on CCTV app

A horrified couple watched a burglar break into their home on a CCTV app while they were 120 miles away on holiday.

Donna Marusamy, 37, and her husband Nathan, 45, were on a weekend break with their children when she received notification on her phone that sensors had detected movement in their back garden.

The couple watched as a hooded burglar walked through their living room and upstairs to steal their passports and jewellery.

The family alerted police but the crook managed to escape by the time they got there.
