Please give my dad a job, says comedian Manford

Jason Manford, the comedian says it is “too tough” for older people to get work as he launches a Facebook appeal to find his father a job.

After his father lost his job in a court he has struggled to find work, and the comedian has been trying to help him. He wrote on his Facebook page: “Absolutely crazy watching people close to me trying to get jobs right now.

“Dad applied for a job at Aldi, he’s 62 and after losing his job at the crown courts a couple of years ago, just can’t stand the idea of not working or sitting on his a--- doing nowt. He’s one of the brightest men I know yet still can’t get a job even cleaning floors at Aldi.”
