Holding Back the Tide RADIO 4, 2.15PM

 This brisk new three-part drama is a tale of the clash between north and south, when a couple of Southerners who move to the seaside town of Breck Howe after inheriting a clifftop property find themselves grappling with local political tensions, unexpected tenants, coastal erosion, sewage treatment works and the Breck Howe Preservation Society. Things get even more chaotic when they make inroads into the processes of the less-thandemocratic local council. This comedy is written by Nick Warburton, and is directed by Sally Avens.
