All-female ‘hit squad’ in court on terror charges
THREE women, including a mother and daughter, decided to form Britain’s first all-female hit squad to carry out a knife attack in Westminster, a court heard.
Mina Dich, 43, her daughter Rizlaine Boular, 21, and Khawla Barghouthi, 20, plotted “to murder a person or persons unknown”, the Old Bailey was told.
On April 27, armed police arrested Boular and Barghouthi in a raid on a house in Harlesden, northwest London, while Dich was detained in Kent. The three, who appeared in court yesterday via video link from prison, are charged with one count of engaging in the preparation of a terrorist act and one count of conspiracy to murder.
Boular, who was shot and wounded in the raid but has since recovered, and Dich wore Muslim veils covering their faces and raised hands to identify themselves.
Barghouthi wore a hijab that did not cover her face.
They are set to stand trial on November 27 after a plea hearing in October.
