Tullow seeks oil in copper hub Zambia
Tullow Oil has begun exploring for oil and gas in Zambia, after European laboratories found good traces of crude in soil samples. Zambia does not currently produce oil, and instead copper accounts for around 70pc of its export value. However, it is looking to diversify its economy. “I can confidently say that if there is any oil to be found in this area of Zambia, Tullow will find it,” a Tullow representative said.
