PRINCE HARRY’S girlfriend Meghan Markle will do “absolutely fine” with the Royal family, Mike Tindall has said as he admits the experience of dating royalty is “nerve-racking”.

Tindall, the former England rugby player and husband of Zara Phillips, said the actress’ experience in the public eye would help her adjust.

Ms Markle, star of the US drama Suits, is understood to be on a camping holiday with Prince Harry in Botswana, in a trip which has inspired much speculation about whether an engagement might be imminent.

Tindall, father of the Queen’s greatgranddaughter Mia, told the Sunday People: “It’s obviously nerve-racking. But she has been under enough scrutiny and pressure in her day-to-day life so I’m sure she will get through it. She will be fine.

“As long as they are both happy that’s all that you can ask for. I’m sure she’ll do absolutely fine.”

He has not yet met Ms Markle. But, Tindall said, he is “obviously” a big fan of Suits, the Netflix drama which Markle is due to leave later this year.
