Fliers to pay for third runway

Over-spending or delays on Heathrow’s £18.6bn expansion plans could fall to airline carriers and their customers, according to a filing to the Civil Aviation Authority.

British Airways’ owner IAG said this could lead to landing charges doubling from £40 to £80, although Heathrow said it would stay close to current levels.
