Second man arrested in ‘Putney pusher’ case
Police seeking a jogger who apparently pushed a woman into the path of a bus have arrested and released a second man.
The 41-year-old suspect was questioned under caution and released without charge, the Metropolitan Police said. He was the second 41-year-old suspect to be cleared of involvement in the incident on Putney Bridge in London, following the release of Eric Bellquist, a US investment banker, earlier that day.
A Met spokesman said: “Detectives investigating an incident where a man appeared to push a woman into the path of a bus continue to appeal for witnesses and information.”
