Priory worker wins libel case against colleague
A senior professional at the Priory Hospital has won nearly £26,000 damages from a colleague who falsely accused him of sexual harassment.
Keith Singh, 51, who has been night services coordinator at the Roehampton, south-west London mental health unit for 17 years, brought libel proceedings at London’s High Court against Joseph Weayou, a healthcare assistant until he left in May this year, and who had published an email to managers about Mr Singh.
Mrs Justice Nicola Davies said that she was satisfied that Mr Singh was a witness of truth who had given consistent evidence, while Mr Weayou was “not a credible historian”.
