Drink warning as father is killed after stag party
Britons should stop getting so drunk during hen and stag parties, a judge said yesterday during an inquest into the death of a man in Budapest.
Speaking at the inquest yesterday, Michael Salt, the coroner, said that he didn’t want to be a “party pooper” but limiting alcohol consumption could prevent “horrific tragedies”.
Sam Clancy was hit by two vehicles when he stepped into a main road next to the River Danube during a stag party in the Hungarian capital.
Delivering a verdict of death by road traffic collision, Mr Salt said: “Evidence shows a very sad traffic accident involving a father of a young child, who will now miss him dearly.”
