Reshuffle kicks out creative chiefs at Topshop and Topman
TWO of Sir Philip Green’s top lieutenants have been shown the door in a shake-up of his empire’s most profitable brands, Topshop and Topman.
Kate Phelan, Topshop’s creative director who has been with the business since 2011, and Gordon Richardson, who has served as Topman’s head creative for the past 17 years, have been pushed out in the latest reshuffling of Arcadia. The retail company, which also owns Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Burton and Miss Selfridge, said David Hagglund would replace them as a creative director across both brands.
Mr Hagglund is known within fashion circles for founding a Stockholm-based creative agency that includes H&M and Hugo Boss as clients. He was also art director at Vogue Paris.
