John Deere raises sale fore­casts for the year

John Deere, the world’s largest heavy ma­chin­ery maker, said its quar­terly profit came in better than ex­pected, boosted by de­mand for farm equip­ment from South Amer­ica. The US man­u­fac­turer, seen as an eco­nomic bell­wether, now ex­pects sales for the year to the end of Oc­to­ber to rise by 10pc.
