SIR – Reading the daily Letters to the Editor, one notices that many are full of complaints and problems.

Instead I wish to write with thankful appreciation of the amazing kindness, care and love which my daughter receives at a beautiful hospice in Kent.

Many of the staff are volunteers, and have unselfishly given of their time for many years. This wonderful treatment is unending and unsung. Barbara Dowling
