Officers planned to steal drugs and sell them on

Two police officers have been convicted of plotting to use a marked car to stop a drugs courier, steal their drugs and sell them on.

Birmingham-based police constables Wahid Husman, 48, and Tahsib Majid, 36, were convicted of conspiracy to possess drugs with intent to supply, misconduct in public office and conspiracy to steal. Police said Majid was found guilty on Tuesday. Husman and five other members of the plot admitted a range of offences at an earlier hearing.

All of the defendants are to be sentenced in October, the West Midlands force said.
